On Friday, March 8, 2013 Wyn Norwood was inducted into the
Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame.

His accomplishments and influence both as a player and coach are many and great, launching Wyn to become a legend in the world of Arkansas amateur golf. At Chenal Country Club, we are especially thankful for Wyn’s support and dedication to the Club over the many years he has been a Member. Most recently, Wyn was instrumental in bringing last year’s Southern Amateur Championship to Little Rock and
Chenal Country Club.
Wyn was a two-time golf champion and a two-time All-Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference selection at Arkansas Tech. As an amateur he won the State Amateur Title three-times and was runner-up eight-times. Twice he was named Arkansas Amateur Player of the Year. Wyn captained the U.S. Team that won the Simon Bolivar World Championship. During his coaching career he won an AIC title at UCA and five-times has been named Sun Belt Coach of the Year at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock . In 2011 he served as coach of the United States team playing in the World University Game in China.
Chenal Country Club extends our sincere congratulations to Wyn for his accomplishments and contributions to golf in the state of Arkansas , and for his induction into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame.
