From their very inception, the golf courses at Chenal were destined to be ranked among the most prestigious in the nation. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., both the Founders Course and the Bear Den Course are imaginatively conceived, dramatically beautiful and extraordinarily challenging. Mr. Jones, creator of more than 125 of the world’s best courses, including Monterey and Spanish Bay in Pebble Beach, CA, preserved the integrity of the rolling, wooded terrain of western Little Rock while developing two majestic courses.
The Founders Course opened with the Club in 1990. The Zoysia fairways offer an exceptional lie and the Tif Eagle Bermuda greens present the highest putting surface available. The course play at 7,115 yards, and has been ranked as “America’s top 100 Modern Golf Courses” by Golfweek magazine, and “#1 in Arkansas” by Golf Digest.
