From their very inception, the golf courses at Chenal were destined to be ranked among the most prestigious in the nation. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., both the Founders Course and the Bear Den Course are imaginatively conceived, dramatically beautiful and extraordinarily challenging. Mr. Jones, creator of more than 125 of the world’s best courses, including Monterey and Spanish Bay in Pebble Beach, CA, preserved the integrity of the rolling, wooded terrain of western Little Rock while developing two majestic courses.
With it’s tight, tree-lined fairways, crystal clear creeks and protected wildlife areas, the 7,326-yard Bear Den Course incorporates the natural features of the site, distinguishing it from the more open qualities of the original Founders Course.

A well-placed tee shot is critical on this hole; go too far left and you’ll be blocked by trees, go too far right and you'll be in them! An approach that misses the green to the left by even the smallest margin will roll into a collection area, leaving a tough up and down.
